Someone made it home on the bus! :)

Well it's that time of year again. The kids woke up bright and early in preparation for the first day of school. Aidan has been very excited to go back for quite some time. Abby, on the other hand, has had some apprehension and nervousness about her first day of Jr. High. 

After school I met Mel, Aidan & Abby at McDonald's for our traditional we survived the first day ice cream. Aidan had a great day with many high points with being able to help serve school lunch this year being one of the list toppers. Abby also seemed to have shed her anxiety and had a great day despite the fact that she missed the bus for home because she wanted to get a Mtn. Dew from the vending machine after school. Apparently she assumed a bus full of kids would be more than happy to wait a few extra minutes so she could have her refreshing beverage for the long ride home. But shockingly they left her. How Rude! Needless to say a new rule of not taking money to school for a while has been imposed. :)
I also chatted with Payten for a few minutes and he also had a great day and is VERY pleased with his teacher. He also informed me that he earned the right to attend a party this Friday for finishing a packet of school work over the summer.
Parenting is a lot easier when you have such AWESOME kids! Just sayin'...

Looks like trouble. Cute trouble, but trouble none the less.

The 3 Bears

Aidan has been working very hard and recieved his advancement to bear in cub scouts this week. He is getting quite the collection of Cub Bling! His face is red due to the mad dash from soccer practice in 90 degree weather imediatly to Pack meeting.

I'm Baaaaaaack....!

Well, after playing around with different options and due to the fact that Apple will be discontinuing it's Mobile Me service which I use to host my website I've decided to come back to where it all began. (Blogger) It doesn't easily allow the freedom I had with my other blogs to customize and personalize my page as I would like. Despite that, Blogger is much more popular amongst my fellow bloggers and friends allowing me to follow you and possibly you, me. I will continue to update and manage Joe-Craven.com until Mobile Me is completely phased out.
